Learning and developing at APG

Learning consists of so many different ways and APG wants you to choose what suits you. Think of IAMbassador, the Pension of the Future e-learning, the Digital Academy, but later also the decisiveness game (decision game). These are a number of ways to start exploring, deepening or improving the development of important skills.

The Making of You - what do you want to achieve?

Building your sustainable future together, working on your own development, that is The Making of You. Because we do it together, you will be supported in various ways at The Making of You. For example through the activities in the Future Center, through conversations with your manager and by following the Learning Route The Making of You. In addition, we have activities that you can do independently, such as training and workshops, tests, assignments that can help you with your personal development.

The learning route of The Making of You consists of a number of meetings with APG colleagues. During these meetings you determine what your core values are, what you excel in and what you want to achieve. You then use this basis to further shape your personal development, which makes it an added value for everyone. Whatever stage of your career you are in.

Management drives - what drives you?

The Management Drives test provides insight into your work preferences, what motivates you and what gives you energy, or not. It contributes to making the right choices in work, working methods and collaborations. This promotes good communication and your personal development.

360 feedforward tool - how do your colleagues see you?

Feedforward is feedback but focused on the future, focused on development and continuous improvement. This online tool is available from the HR cycle to quickly and easily request feedforward from colleagues. By sending out four standard questions (start-stop-continuous and 1 personal question) we help each other in everyone's development.

Team development

Increase the effectiveness within your team or the collaboration with another team?

In team development, you work together within your team or as several teams to strengthen effectiveness, cooperation, and achieve results. Even if you work together effectively and pleasantly as a team, you can use a team coach. Then we see that as 'maintenance.' Sometimes, more active attention to team development is needed if there is room for improvement, if employee engagement is low (or has decreased significantly) or if absenteeism is high. Or to improve dynamics in a team with a new composition or between two teams that work together intensively. In short: every team within APG is cordially invited to get started with team development. The Making of Leadership - modules for leaders

Leadership is a choice, a profession! And you can become proficient in a job by training your skills and developing yourself because leadership starts with you. Only within yourself can you completely take others along and connect with them.

At APG we have created six development themes of The Making of Leadership:

360º Leadership Feedforward

Where do you currently stand on the leadership elements and what tips does your environment have for building further on this? It not only helps you as a manager to develop and learn how your behavior is experienced by others. But it also helps APG to build a culture where giving feedback, transparency and innovation are given more scope.

Pension of the Future Academy

Within the Pension of the Future Academy, we offer training courses for colleagues, funds, social partners, and suppliers. We organize Pensioen of the Future, the basics, and specials for colleagues.

The Basics
The Basics is a course that consists of two parts. We go through the new rules for pensions and the differences and similarities between the current and new systems.

The Specials
The Specials are follow-up sessions in which we go deeper into specific topics. For example, we plan specials about risk attitude and investment policy and customer and participant orientation during the switch. You choose what is interesting and relevant to you.
