Speaker Profile: Oscar Söderlund
In 2018, Oscar Söderlund left his job as a Software Engineer Lead at Spotify to change the transport industry together with Einride. As an individual contributor, problem solver and speaker, Oscar has been involved in Software Engineering since 2012. He is an experienced builder of scalable software systems and high-performing software teams.
Thanks to technology, Oscar Söderlund and Einride are taking the logistics world into a new phase. Einride’s autonomous and fully electric vehicles are becoming the future of transport. They currently operate on public roads and at customer sites in Sweden with remote oversight and drive capability. Their mobility solutions are enabling new manners to optimize the transition to an electric and autonomous fleet for shippers and carriers. The Einride Freight Mobility Platform allows customers to offer faster, greener, and cheaper freight transport. Thanks to its digital platforms and software, Einride can deliver better experiences and build sustainable relationships with its clients.
Oscar Söderlund studied Computer Science at Chalmers University in Gothenburg. After he finished his studies, he became a Consultant in Software Engineering at Chalmers Teknologkonsulter AB. In 2016, he joined Spotify´s team as a Software Engineer, where he led a massive >100FTE cross-functional project to make Spotify ready for the GDPR (EU data privacy regulation). At the same time, he designed infrastructure solutions for encryption, access control and data retention at scale with staff engineers, compliance specialists and data experts.
Since May 2020, Oscar Söderlund has been Chief Software Architect at Einride and provides context and alignment, empowers individual contributors and manages emerging risks.
