Understanding human activity in the real world

What if you had a music streaming service and wanted to know more about where users are going to concerts - to create better playlists and recommendations? Or how people move in general? Well, that’s where Unacast can help you out.

Unacast helps companies make smarter decisions and build better products through contextualized location data from the Real World Graph. Understanding how people move around the planet leads to better products and stronger business decisions. Unacast combines location data, map data, and strategic intelligence to provide clients with the best possible picture of real-world human activity. For example, this gives retail insights into topics like assessing the stores' results, understanding human interaction taking place around those stores, analyzing potential new locations, what characteristics are common to particular locations, and even collecting all of these insights from your competitors.

Our speaker for this Roundtable will be Linn Jordet Nygaard, Vice President of Data and Engineering at Unacast. Before joining Unacast, Linn worked for eleven years across Norway and Korea to lead various client projects within Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Linn’s skill as a seasoned data professional lies in managing and gaining information from complex raw data sources. At Unacast, she deals with the production and quality management of their products and offers insights into their processes and pipelines. In addition, Linn holds a Master in Industrial Engineering and Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
