As Associate Director, Cloud Governance & Strategy at King, Kenneth MacArthur is responsible for the cloud governance that enables Kingsters to use the public cloud safely and efficiently to deliver moments of magic for the company’s players.
Part of Activision Blizzard, King, is an interactive games company with more than 200 adventure titles such as Pet Rescue, Candy Crush and the classic game Crash Bandicoot. For 2020, Activision Blizzard’s revenue was $8.09 billion, and monthly active users grew to 397 in the fourth quarter. King’s monthly active users in the fourth quarter of 2020 were 240 million. King shares the idea of bite-size entertainment with its players allowing them to play at any moment, then move on with their day and pick up their game later, even on different platforms.
Kenneth MacArthur studied Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He started his career as a Consultant and Systems Analyst, first at Business & Decision and later at Accenture. As a Data Warehouse Specialist, Kenneth worked in Berlin at Brands4Friends and then moved to Stockholm to work at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Since 2013, Kenneth MacArthur has been part of the game at King. He started as a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer and in 2019 became Associate Director, Cloud Governance & Strategy.
