G Suite is built on customer-led innovation. How does that work?
We built G Suite because we wanted to help our clients work faster, smarter and more collaboratively. Here’s how we’ve expanded this product:
G Suite started in 2006 with Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and an Admin Console. The results since then have been impressive; 1 billion active monthly Google Drive users have created more than a trillion documents, 80 million students are using G Suite for education, Gmail has 1.5 billion monthly users, and 4 million businesses use G Suite.
Because we built G Suite in collaboration with our customers, we’ve been able to incorporate their feedback into the product and experiment with small iterations extremely fast. This has resulted in a product that’s tailor-made to customer expectations. Here’s how this translates into numbers:
-
Some customers were able to move over 20k users to G Suite in a single weekend
-
Some businesses have realized over 300% ROI by moving to G Suite
-
Zero reported or detected G Suite account hijackings after security key deployments
-
Businesses can save millions from better licensing and management costs
-
74% of all time spent in Docs, Sheets and Slides is collaborative time.
