$47 billion CapEx, and counting
Infrastructure is a key area of investment for Google, because it underpins all of the work that we do and supports all of our products. Data centers are the engines of the internet, and as demand for online content and cloud services continues to increase, our data centers are growing too. In total, we’ve invested $47 billion in capex between 2016 and 2018, which includes investments in our infrastructure. We announced earlier this year that we’ll invest another $13 billion in the U.S. alone.
The Netherlands is of strategic importance to us. That’s why we invest approximately € 2.5 billion in infrastructure in the Netherlands, since 2016.
